Information we collect

You share information with us when you create an account or interact with features such as saving favorites, stocking your bar, leaving ratings, or adding comments. We only require an email address to sign up. Anything else—profile details, ingredient preferences, or other content—is optional and saved to power those features.

We do not collect payment details, and we do not intentionally collect information from anyone under the age of 18. Please do not let minors use Garnish.

How we use your information

• Respond to support requests, including data access or deletion submissions.
• Keep Garnish safe and secure, including monitoring for misuse or spam.

We use cookies and local storage to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and deliver key features. Google Analytics helps us learn what is working. Where required, we run it in cookieless mode or ask for your consent before setting analytics cookies.

When we introduce Google Ads, they may place their own cookies. We will only show personalized ads after any legally required opt-in and will provide settings to manage your choices.

Third parties and hosting

Garnish is hosted on Vercel with our databases managed by Neon and transactional email sent by Resend. We also use Discord webhooks to deliver community notifications and to receive certain form submissions. We operate from Delaware, USA, and store all personal data in the United States. These service providers help us run Garnish and access your information only to perform their services for us.

How long we keep data

We keep your account information for up to two years after your last activity. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we will delete or anonymize it unless we must keep it for legal reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can access or update your information through your profile. To request a copy of your data or to have it deleted, submit a request via the contact form or the tools in your profile. We respond within seven days. Exports are prepared manually, so they may not be in a standardized format.

Security

We secure Garnish with HTTPS encryption and restrict access to personal data to authorized team members who need it to run the service. While no online service can be completely risk-free, we monitor our systems and work to keep your data protected.
